Cultural week “Schenner Langes”


According to the tradition the cultural week opens the yearly events program in Schenna. After a long winter it’s time again for extensively laughing, banqueting and singing.

Music week


“Ansambel Robert Zupan” and his original Oberkrainer, Vincent & Fernando, Bugle blowers and many other folk musicians and instrumentalists provide spring joy at Raiffeisenplatz.

South Tyrolean farmers’ market


Farmers from all over South Tyrol bring their home-made specialties to the market. Obviously there you will find a lot of music and also artistic artisans.

Schenner Almtag


Before the Alp season really starts, the Alpine farmers from Schennaberg, Hirzerregion and from Meran 2000 present at Raiffeisenplatz virtues of their hiking areas. Folk music, lotteries and delicacies are included.

Berger Pfingsting

From May till November

Every first Thursday (“Pfingsting”) of the month restaurants, mountain cabins and farm taverns on Schennaberg outdo each other with typical farm dishes and suggestive folks music.

Festival of costumes “Schneidiges Schenna”


The first costumes festival, celebrated in Schenna: folk pure with folk spring dance, festival processions, concerts and obviously many wonderful costumes, which proudly represent our South Tyrol. The performance of Montanara choir is a true highlight.

Summer nights in Schenna

From middle May till end of August

Every Wednesday from 8 p.m. folk groups and bands entertain their summer guests. Furthermore many other events like shopping night till 9:30 p.m. are organized.

Garden nights of Schloss Trauttmansdorff

From May till August

A feast for senses: on the stage at the water lilies pond and in wonderfully illuminated botanical garden at the night, you can hear music coming from all over the world and cultures.

Montanara Choir

From May till October

In the club house Unterwirt the famous choir from Cortina d’Ampezzo lets mountains ring from full throat.

Heart of Jesus Sunday


A heart made of fire and crowned by a cross is created and lightens along the profile of our mountains. According to an old tradition this represents the sense of home of South Tyrolean people.

Oldtimer-Rally “Südtirol Classic”


When the classic chrome cars roll again along our mountain roads, this is a delight for all our holiday makers. There is always an opportunity to admire the vehicle rarities from close range.

Schenner Markt


Artisans and dealers from our region, hoteliers, alpine farmers and manufacturers expose here their own creations and invite people to have a walk there, to taste and shop.

Schützen autumn festival


A festival procession with richly decorated carriages, local costume groups and music chapels is the highlight of this traditional event. The autumn start is celebrated with South Tyrolean delicacies and a lot of still living traditions.

When farmers in Schenna turn Raiffaisenplatz into a huge farm kitchen, there is a delightful smell which is hard to resist to. With a glass wine and excellent music, you can easy get to like this place.

During Törggele time farmes, artisans and artists offer their products and so they liven an old tradition up. Besides hearty delicacies there are also many specialties and hand-made creations, that you would hardly find in any other shop.
