Our book tip for parents
The South Tyrolean authors Marlene Weithaler and Thoma Plattner have published the book “Wanderbabys” (Tappeiner Verlag). It contains 51 tour proposals with detailed information and tips. Some nice recommendations for the young family happiness can be realized in Meraner Land. Maybe have a look inside?
In the pram on hiking tour
Sure, for babies a long walk in the carrying backpack is not the ideal. But in an outdoor pram things look quite different. Around Meran there is a large network of trails – and many of them are also suitable for prams. Even still at a high altitude of 2,000 meters in the area Meran 2000 you can do a hut trip with the pram. In Vinschgau, among other things, the path to Schlinger Alm is a pleasure for young parents. In the region Meran Leadner Alm can be walked with a pram. The route offers beautiful belvedere points and the full joy for hiking. You will never have the feeling of doing only half measures. And for children who can already run alone (and want!) such a trip will certainly make a lot of fun. A walking holiday with children in South Tyrol is perhaps not the right opportunity to set up, distance and altitude records – but it’s funny anyway. There is for children so much to see and to do!
